Mindo cloud forest full-day tour:
$40 per person; lunch, entrance fees and extras are not included. Description: It normally takes a couple of hours to
get to the Mindo cloud forest; you'll have to chance of choosing
between talking a little cable-car,
or do all the way down walking, to visit a waterfall.
On the way you'll see an interesting mixture of plants and, if you
wish, have some refreshing bath. Or instead of this,
you can also choose for doing Canopy,
or Tubing, too (these, as the cable-car, for an additional
cost; entrance to the waterfall is also additional).
After that, we can visit a little private farm for seeing the hummingbirds
and butterflies; a quick visit to a private coffee farm
can also be arranged (optional, subject to confirmation).
Quilotoa full-day tour: $45 per person; lunch, entrance
fee and extras are not included. Description: Drive trough the South-Panamerican highway
where, if the weather is good, you can admire the incredible mountain
landscapes.
If its Thursday, short visit to the Saquisili's market,
and if its Saturday, to the Zumbahua's market.
Once at Quilotoa
(3.5 hours later), we can downhill (easy trek) to the lake, where
you can rent kayaks (cost not included). For the uphill, you can rent
donkeys or horses (cost not included), or hike all the way. Quick
visit to the Tigua's naïf paintings' shop or to Pujili's
central square on our way back to Quito.
